Nutrition services for every stage of life

Fewer guessing games at mealtimes. Choose the consultation format that fits your household, your week, and what you actually want to change.

Three formats, and how to tell them apart

NutriJalan runs a few consultation formats and several focus areas, because a plan for a growing child has little in common with one for an older adult. Start by reading how each format is structured, then pick the one that matches your situation. If two of them sound right, that is normal — describe your goal and we will help you choose.

One-off consultation

A single session works well when you have one specific question and want focused input. You get an assessment, practical guidance, and a short written plan you can apply yourself. It suits people who mostly need direction rather than ongoing support: you leave knowing what to adjust and how.

Ongoing coaching

For changes that take time, ongoing coaching pairs you with a dietitian across multiple sessions. There is more room for monitoring and evaluation, so the plan evolves as your routine does. If your goal involves building a habit over weeks, this format gives you the structure to get there — follow-up is built into the rhythm.

Family nutrition consultation

Households eat together, so we plan for the table. A family nutrition consultation looks at what everyone needs and finds a base meal that works, with small adjustments per person. That avoids cooking three separate dinners. It helps families with young children, and households where several people share similar goals.

Focus areas, grouped by who is eating

These are the focus areas our dietitians work in most. You do not pick a label and lock it in — you pick the format above, then tell us which of these is actually pressing. Most people arrive with one clear theme and a few smaller ones behind it.

Support for children and adolescents

Growing bodies have specific needs, and habits set early tend to last. We help parents plan meals and snacks that support steady growth without turning mealtimes into a battle. The focus stays on practical, kid-friendly food the whole family can share, and the guidance stays clear for parents and caregivers doing the cooking on a weeknight. If your child is a selective eater, we start from what they already accept and widen from there.

Adult nutrition and weight management

Many adults ask for help with weight management or with energy through a demanding week. We look at your daily routine and your pola makan, and find where small changes will have the most effect. The plan favours realistic adjustments over drastic ones, because those are the ones people keep. Slow and steady tends to hold, and nothing here asks you to rebuild your whole kitchen in a weekend.

What stays the same across services

Whichever service you choose, the pattern holds: assessment first, then a plan, then follow-up.

Handled by a registered dietitian

Every consultation is carried out by a registered dietitian. You are not handed a printout by a chatbot, and the person who assesses you is the person who writes your plan.

Built on Indonesian eating

Meal plans build on rice, tempeh, vegetables, fish and the dishes already on your table, instead of importing a template from another cuisine and asking you to shop for it.

Plain language, no jargon

Guidance you cannot understand is guidance you cannot use. Advice comes in everyday words, with the reasoning attached, so you can make your own call when the plan meets a real dinner table.

Nutrition support, honestly scoped

We work on food, meals and habits. If something you describe needs a different kind of professional, the dietitian will say so plainly and point you toward the right one.

Life-stage nutrition support

Where you are in life changes what the plate needs to do. Two of these areas come up often enough that they deserve their own note.

Nutrition during pregnancy

Pregnancy brings considerations it helps to talk through with a dietitian. We work on meal structure, food choices, and fitting good nutrition into days that may already feel full. The guidance stays inside nutrition support and respects your situation.

  • Meal structure that fits your appetite through the day
  • Practical swaps for the dishes you already cook
  • Clear notes on what to raise with your own clinician

Support for older adults

Appetite, chewing and changing needs make nutrition different in later life. We help plan meals that are easy to prepare and genuinely nourishing, adjusting texture and portions where needed. The aim is food they will actually eat.

  • Soft and easy-to-prepare meal ideas for low appetite
  • Portion guidance for a smaller household
  • Notes family caregivers can follow at home

Family members caring for an older relative often sit in on this consultation, and that is welcome. It is usually easier when the person doing the shopping hears the plan in the same conversation as the person eating it.

Choosing the right format

If you are unsure which option fits, start with the registration form and describe your goal. There is no penalty for picking one and adjusting later; sessions can shift as your needs do. The first step is simply telling us what you are after.

Can I switch formats later?

Yes. Plenty of people start with a single session to see whether the approach suits them, then move into ongoing coaching once a habit has something to build on. Tell your dietitian at the start of a session and the plan is re-scoped from there.

What do I need to prepare before the first session?

Nothing formal. It helps to think about a normal week: what you cook, who you cook for, when you eat out, and what gets skipped when the day runs long. Rough notes or a few phone photos are more useful than a perfect record, and the assessment starts from what you actually eat.

Do you work with the whole family at once?

For a family nutrition consultation, yes — two or three adults from the same household can join the same call. If one person has a specific goal of their own, a separate session keeps the advice sharp rather than diluted across the table.

Which format suits weight management?

Most adults working on weight management do better with ongoing coaching, since the plan gets reviewed as your routine changes and follow-up is built in. A single session is still a reasonable start if you mainly want to know which adjustments matter first.

How detailed is the written plan?

You get the assessment notes, the changes that matter most, and enough structure to run a normal week — not a rigid menu you have to follow to the gram. The plan is meant to survive a busy Tuesday, so it usually lists a few base meals and the swaps around them.

Start with the goal, not the label

Write a few lines about your situation on the registration form and a dietitian will suggest which service fits. If you would rather ask something first, call the office during working hours or send an email — both are read by the team that runs the consultations.
